I ordered size C6 as my son is a size5 and a half. I found the strap holds his foot in place well. I've read some other reviews where people complained that the strap was too small and did not fit round their child's foot but my understanding is that these shoes fit 2 sizes so 3/4 or 5/6 etc so the strap is to accommodate the child's fooTheCheapestShoes | toptenshoes.nett if its on the smaller side... I can see why that would be annoying but we've found if his foot is big enough in the past, he doesnt need a strap in place. Arrived quickly. I am an adult with kids size 3 feet, narrow footed, hence buy kids. I wanted to try these elastic lock shoelaces as I have problems with fine motor skills. There are loads of colours to choose from, so they should match with most trainers/casual shoes. They came in a resealable bag, not sure why, maybe to house the old laces in, which is what I have done. The back of the bag has printed instructions on it. The bag contains two elasticated laces, two locking mechanisms and two toggles. It was easy to relace my trainers with the elasticated ones, and the locking mechanism was also easy to fit due to the rigid plastic ends on each lace. You then put the toggle through both lace ends, tie a knot in the laces at a point allowing enough slack for when the trainers/shoes are being taken off and pull the toggle over the knot. If the laces are still too long you can cut them. I TheCheapestShoes | toptenshoes.netam a size 6 and I did need to cut them shorter on a pair of trainers. They are then so easy to do up compared to tying laces, as the locking mechanism is easy to depress. Much easier for me with my problems, and I'm sure excellent for people with many disabilities. Most importantly they are also comfortable when you wear them. I have found that as long as you have them tight enough, the trainers don't slip when running or walking. They are not much more expensive than a decent pair of trainer laces and a similar price to other similar items on Amazon, so I would highly recommend these elastic lock shoelaces.
